On the Road Again…

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! Mike and I completed our 6th family gathering of the week, and we are trying to recover. We were blessed to spend time with both of our families and enjoy some yummy food, too. (I think my jeans are shrinking. lol)
I am leaving tomorrow morning for a short getaway to South Carolina. I’ll be back just before New Year’s, but I technically won’t be back in my office until Monday, January 5th. To those of you patiently waiting for your photos from recent sessions, I promise I’ll be getting back to work very soon!
I haven’t forgotten about you :)
Until next time, here’s a little photo of Mike & I that we took on our recent trip to West Virginia to visit David, Steph and Parker. (The snow was beautiful while it lasted!) I hope that everyone will enjoy time with their families, and have a safe and fun new year!

Jamie, Jason & Andrew: Family

I just flew in from Charleston, WV, this morning after a week of being up there. I was mostly there to visit my friends, but I found some time to sneak in a few sessions. I was scheduled to have 3, but the weather didn’t quite cooperate, so I was only able to do 2. Here is the first one!
Jamie and Jason have this sweet little boy you see below, Andrew. I met up with Jamie and Andrew in the morning at their home. We wanted to get some sweet photos of Andrew in his nursery and just around the house. Did I mention that Jamie is pregnant with their second baby? She looks so pretty right now, and we snuck in a few belly shots while I was there.
We met Jason later that day in downtown Charleston at the Capitol Market. When you see the photos below you might not be able to tell, but it was POURING rain! We decided to get creative and shoot anyways. Capitol Market was the perfect place to get some great photos and stay dry!
Next time I’m up, I will be photographing the new addition to the family, Ava :)
How cute is he?

I love photographing kids in their rooms just acting like themselves!

Such a pretty momma!

This one is probably my favorite! I love Andrew’s face!

I’m Out of Here!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I am officially on vacation! I’m flying out this morning to head off to Charleston, WV, to spend the week with some of my favorite people. I’m so excited that Mike gets to come along for the first part of the trip, too. We’re going to visit David, Steph and Parker. Stephanie and I have been best friends since we were 12, and I try to go see her every chance I get!
All of that to say that I am out of my office and taking a break until Friday, December 19th. I’ll return all calls and emails then. I appreciate your understanding :) I guess it isn’t a total vacation since I’ll be photographing 3 portrait sessions while I’m there. Whenever I go to Charleston, I always have people ask me to do sessions. I actually had to turn work down this time, because I didn’t want to spend the entire trip working! I completely appreciate all of the support I get from my Charleston peeps!
Wish me luck because it’s supposed to snow while I’m there, and I’m completely afraid of cold weather. It makes my hands dry, and I’m basically a total Florida-raised wimp. It does usually help my hair though, since there’s no humidity! Yay for good hair days, boo for dry hands. lol.
Seriously, who wouldn’t want to spend the week with this guy?

My BFF! Love her!

Chloe: Newborn

It wasn’t very long ago that I was photographing Melissa’s belly session. Now little Chloe is here. She was less than 1 week old when we took these! I love it when a mom books the newborn session within the first 2 weeks. There’s just something about those first several days. They change so quickly, and it’s just nice to capture those fleeting moments. Chloe wasn’t too happy about me photographing her, but we managed to still get some great photos of her. I’m so excited that her parents have decided to have me photograph her throughout her 1st year. After her 1st birthday, we’re going to make them a beautiful album of their favorite photos.
See you again soon, Chloe! Hopefully you like me more next time :)

Avva & Co: Family

I love whenever families call me to do even their simple photo sessions. Lindsey, little Avva’s mommy, asked me if I would do a mini-session with their family in front of their Christmas Tree. Nothing fancy, just some simple family portraits. This was my 3rd time photographing little Avva. I photographed her at 2 weeks and then around 3 months. We’ll be setting up another session for her as soon as she starts sitting up. Lindsey has my photos of Avva everywhere in the house, and I loved seeing them displayed! She’s such a beautiful baby, and I am thrilled that they have chosen to have me photograph her throughout her 1st year.
See you guys again soon!
Check out Lindsey’s tree! She & her grandmother decorated it, and it was fantastic!

I just love photographing Avva, and I’m sure you can see why!

Beautiful family!

It was so great that Avva’s great grandmother could be there so we could photograph the 4 generations together at Christmas!
Major cutie, right?
