Three Times the Fun! – Charleston

These 3 are just super cute and such sweet kids! When their mommy, Michelle, told me she wanted mostly pictures of them playing and being themselves instead of posed, I was thrilled! I think it’s so great to have fun, personality-filled photos of your kids in addition to the “everyone look at the camera and smile” pictures. While I was in Charleston their house actually sold, so these photos will be great memories they can take with them to their new house.

The girls love to push their baby strollers around!

Another favorite activity: Bubbles!

And here’s their sweet baby brother, Isaac.

Such a sweet face, and I love Brooke & Madeline telling secrets in the background :)

Getting some love from mommy.

Since this was a special occasion, I got permission for Brooke & Madeline to jump on the parents’ bed! They looked a little shocked when mom said it was okay!

I had to put the one on the left of poor mom trying to wrangle all the kids! She did a good job and we ended up with the really sweet picture below of all of them.

Ashley McCormick Photography - Ok, I love your new blog and am super jealous that mine isn’t as cool… lol

Fun Family! – Charleston

Another Charleston session…..Lynsey, Joe, Dylan and Josie are such a fun family. We went to a beautiful park in WV to take their first official family portraits since Dylan came along! Talk about an adorable kid, Dylan is ridiculously cute! And of course I can’t forget about his sister, Josie, the giant Saint Bernard. She’s adorable, too.

In school they tell you that the hardest people to take pictures of are kids and dogs. Well I tried to take photographs of a kid and a dog together for this session, and it was interesting! It was so hot that day, it felt like Florida! But everyone toughed it out, and we were able to get some great family pics!

Don’t you just wanna give him a big kiss? What a sweet face!

There’s a funny story that goes along with the kissing picture above. I didn’t know that Lynsey isn’t a “PDA” kind of person, so when I asked her and Joe to kiss for the picture, you should have seen her face! The picture is so cute that hopefully she’ll forgive me for embarrassing her :)

Kids and dogs. Never a dull moment!

Lynsey was calling these shirtless photos his “WV portraits”. We all had a good laugh about that!

Heidi Mitchell - Thanks so much! Dylan is so cute it was easy to take great photos of him! I’m so glad everyone like them :)July 26, 2008 – 6:42 pm

DylansAuntie - Thank you so much for the beautiful pictures of my ‘lil nephew Dylan! I cannot stop looking at them…your work is amazing Heidi! And anytime you’re ready to open the Charleston Branch, just let us know and you’ll have customers waiting in line :)July 25, 2008 – 3:15 pm

Baby Collin – Charleston

Many of you know that I spent last week in Charleston, WV, with my friend, Stephanie. While I was there I had several portrait sessions and Collin’s was the first. Now everyone is saying that I’m going to have to open a Charleston branch of Heidi Mitchell Photography, and I just may do that.

Collin was such a sweet baby boy. He was a little mesmerized by the big black camera in his face, but we managed to get a few sweet smiles out of him. I can’t wait to see his mommy and him next time I’m in Charleston!
I just never get tired of baby butts. They are so cute!

He’s very deep in thought here as you can see.

This silly face sums up how he felt about me photographing him at that exact moment!

He was very happy in the basket!

The one on the right is his baby Moses impression.

This was the sign that the session was over and it was nap time for Collin!

Lots of new photos coming soon!

I haven’t posted in a few days because I was in Charleston, WV, spending the week with this cutie and his mommy. I went up there last week to visit my best friend, Stephanie, and her baby boy, Parker. He turned 1 year old and we had a blast at his birthday party. While I was there, I had 4 portrait sessions plus all the photos I took of Parker. So, I promise there will be lots of new photos posted soon! (As soon as I can edit all of them! It’s going to be a busy week!)

Heidi Mitchell - He is a cutie! Now I just have to find time to edit all of the WV pics!July 22, 2008 – 5:10 pm

Ashley McCormick Photography - So cute!! What an adorable little boy :) Can’t wait to see the rest!July 22, 2008 – 3:42 am

Too Much Cuteness!

I seriously doubt that you have ever seen anything as cute as what you’re about to see! Today I had the privilege of photographing 3 beautiful little girls. They were so great and cooperated wonderfully. These cutie pie twins are 3 years old, and they are loads of fun! Their 6 month old baby sister is adorable, too! The twins were pointing out each little ant and spider web on the sidewalk and having their parents remove them so they wouldn’t be bothered by them when we were taking their pictures. They really don’t like bugs which is okay with me, because I don’t like them either! Their mom and dad were great. When the girls started getting tired, they said that magic word that all kids love to hear: donuts! A little sweet bribery goes a long way in getting kids to put up with having their picture taken :)
I had such a great time with them! They are so sweet and definitely a beautiful family.

These two really love each other!

I love this shot of them holding hands.

Such beautiful girls!

Can you tell that these two are FULL of personality ;)

Little sis’ getting some love!

One of my favorites!!!
