Christmas Mini Sessions

Is it just me or does it feel like this year has flown by? I can’t believe I’m posting this, but it’s time for Christmas Mini Sessions! I’m really excited to be offering some amazing new Christmas cards this year. I’ll be offering 4 Mini Sessions on 2 separate dates, so there will be a total of 8 sessions. Unless we’ve already spoken about a separate appointment for you this fall, these will be the only Christmas sessions I’ll be booking. My calendar is crazy this fall, so I just won’t be able to do a separate, full session for everyone. Plus, Mini Sessions save you some moolah, which we can all use more of around the holiday season!

Here are the details:

Mini Session Day 1 - Saturday, September 25, 2010

Downtown Mount Dora

5:00pm-6:30pm (Total of 4 sessions available scheduled on the half hour)

Mini Session Day 2 - Sunday, October 3, 2010

Downtown Mount Dora

4:30pm-6:00pm (Total of 4 sessions available scheduled on the half hour)

Includes:

- {20-30 minute session}

- {10-15 images posted online for you to choose from}

- {50 amazing Christmas cards with envelopes}

- {1-8×10 0r 2-5×7′s}

$200 plus Florida sales tax

How to Book:

Email me at heidimitchellphotography@gmail.com or message me via Facebook. Let me know which time slot you would prefer, and I’ll let you know if it’s available. Due to some issues with last minute cancellations last year, I’m going to ask that a $50 deposit be left to officially reserve your session. Can’t wait to see some familiar faces for these Mini Sessions and hopefully meet some new families too!

And now what you’ve all been waiting for……The beautiful cards! You can choose from 5 different designs. Also, you choose whether or not you want a flat 5×5 card or a round ornament card that your loved ones can hang on their tree.

Alyssa: Newborn

Oh, how I love newborns and newborn sessions. It’s definitely one of the perks of my job! I’ve known Alyssa’s mom & dad for a long time, and I was absolutely honored to be asked to take her newborn photos. She is such a beautiful little baby. Let me tell you, my heart ached when I saw her closet full of  tiny dresses! I love my little boy to pieces, but I would love to have a little sister for Lincoln one day. For now, I’ll just have to get my baby girl fix through Alyssa. I’m looking forward to photographing her throughout her first year!

And as a side note, Alyssa’s mommy is a great baker, so check her out if you need cakes or cupcakes for a special event! I’ll be enjoying some of her yummy cupcakes at my brother’s wedding this fall;)

Love this!

I’m pretty sure there’s nothing more adorable than a little baby bottom.

Andrea is such a beautiful momma! She looks amazing and Alyssa is only 2 weeks old!

Lauren Kelly - Heidi, these pictures are so great!!! Andrea looks so great and Alyssa is just gorgeous!!!!September 1, 2010 – 3:21 pm

The Office: Sneak Peek

What a summer this has been! Mike & I welcomed a new addition to our family, and he’s now 3 months old! We were able to take some beach time recently and enjoy a vacation with our family. My “baby” brother turned 16, which makes me feel so old. And…..I signed the lease for a new office space/natural light studio!

I’ve wanted to have a space for a long time, but it just never worked out before. It finally all fell into place. I’ll be sharing the space with a friend/colleague, and she & I have been so busy getting it ready. We’ve been painting, shopping & tearing down wallpaper. Just a few short days until the wonderful flooring men come to transform the floors. I absolutely can’t wait to reveal the space once it’s all ready!

For now, here’s a little sneak peek. Even the front door will be transformed when we’re finished with this place;)

Mark Brdley - You are truly amazing at what you do, the pictures prove it glad to see all is well congratulations on all parts and wish you luck as well as many bleesings for good things come to those who strive forward with the word of the Lord once again congratulationsAugust 26, 2010 – 12:46 am

Lauren Kelly - YAY! So exciting, Heidi!!! :) August 25, 2010 – 6:02 pm

Beach & Blogs!

First, if you haven’t seen my blog feature on Glamour and Grace Weddings blog, please check it out! I’m so thrilled that they wanted to show some of my work. It’s my first time being featured on a wedding inspiration blog, and it’s so incredible to see my photos posted there!!!

Second, just a quick note to say that I’ll be out of the office all of next week. We usually take a beach trip in the spring, but I was rather large & uncomfortable then, so we’re just getting around to taking our vacation. I’ll respond to emails and voicemails as soon as we’re back. Crossing my fingers for some good weather, and looking forward to spending some time with my boys:)

Lauren & Michael: Engagement Part II

A few months ago, I posted engagement photos of my younger brother and his fiance. We were planning on doing so much more that day, but we got rained out. Well then we were going to reschedule to finish their session, but it just didn’t work out to do before I had the baby. So finally….. we got to finish their engagement session last week!

Michael & Lauren are getting married at the adorable Lange Farm later this year, so she asked if we could do something kind of vintage-farm-country-ish. We have some friends who have this lovely barn on their property, so we decided it was the perfect setting. So I guess this is my first themed session. If you check out wedding planning & inspiration blogs at all, you know that the themed engagement session is big right now. I read a blog the other day that told photographers not to even submit their sessions for publishing unless it was themed! Because I strive to stay current and make sure I’m offering what brides want, I definitely wanted to dive in! Lauren had some awesome ideas and went thrift store shopping to get the look she wanted. It was so much fun, and I absolutely loved being creative and thinking outside of the “normal” engagement session box.

Since I loved it so much, I definitely want to do it again! If you have an engagement, couple’s or family session scheduled with me, let’s talk about how we can do a themed session that fits your personality.

Without further ado….Michael & Lauren’s vintage country engagement. Let me know what you think:)

Sometimes I like to include some out-takes from a session. Since they had to travel to get to the location, they needed to bring their dogs so they wouldn’t be left home alone all day. Well we weren’t exactly planning on adding them in the photos, but Ellie & Baloo had other plans! They jumped right in.

Baloo posing in the background while Ellie comes to check me out.

My brother has always been a bookworm. Some of my earliest memories of him involve him “reading” books, even though he definitely wasn’t old enough to actually read yet. With that in mind, we thought the vintage books would be a perfect addition to the session.

Steff - My favorite is the one where they are up in the barn. Cute Cute.August 4, 2010 – 9:07 pm

Kylie - LOVE the themed photo shoot! The pictures turned out great! Such a great idea!August 2, 2010 – 4:33 pm

Lauren Soon-to-be-Salas - WOOHOOO!!!! These are amazing. I feel like they really caught the love between Michael and I! My favorites of course are with the puppies! We were dying laughing at the one where Baloo posed and Elly was all up in the camera. So perfect! Heidi you are so talented! I am so lucky to have engagement photo’s like these. Shhh don’t tell Michael but that’s why I am marrying him. Just to get to you ;) hahaAugust 2, 2010 – 3:00 pm
