Real American Stories

So this isn’t exactly related to photography, but I found a great website that will inspire you!

http://www.realamericanstories.com

This website has videos of celebrities and everyday Americans telling their American stories. I loved watching the videos. Some of them made me cry! (of course, I’m mushy so I cry easily) As we move closer to the election in November, this website can help us remember that as Americans we share a common thread. We are all proud of where we have come from, and value our freedom. We are more alike than we realize sometimes. So I guess it is kind of photography related, because I am getting to live my American dream by pursuing something that I love. Photography, of course! I hope you enjoy it. I did!

Happy 4th!

There’s something very important you need to know about me. I looooove Christmas and I looooove the 4th of July! The 4th is one of my favorite holidays ever! Watermelon, boating, waving a flag, and eating. What could be better than that? I was lucky enough to spend the 4th with some of my friends, and the 5th with family. We watched fireworks from our boat on Lake Dora which was amazing! I had a blast, and can’t wait for next year!

Ashley & Grant 06.22.08

Ashley & Grant got married this past Sunday at the beautiful Casa Feliz in Winter Park. I have wanted to photograph a wedding here for forever, and Ashley finally gave me the chance :) The weather did not look promising for a 5:00 ceremony on the lawn, but at about 4:30 the sun appeared just for Ashley & Grant! I was so happy it worked out for them. Ashley is what I call a Super Bride. She made her programs, her bouquets, the centerpieces, the guest book. Need I say more? She is amazing! Ashley & Grant, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your beautiful wedding! Best wishes for your new marriage. Hope you’re enjoying your cruise :)

Can you believe she made this?

Beautiful place for a wedding!

Proof that the weather cooperated and it was gorgeous!

I love this :)

This is one of my absolute favorites of the day!

Ashley gave a fantastic toast to her mom & dad who have been married for 29 years! There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. I was hiding misty eyes behind my camera! What a great example of marriage for Ashley & Grant! (and anyone else for that matter)

And the sparkler send-off!

Heidi Mitchell - The rings weren’t from Tiffany’s, but they came in a box that color, so I took advantage of it :)July 10, 2008 – 1:54 pm

Ashley McCormick Photography - Love these Heidi!! Were their rings from Tiffany’s? They had the signature blue box! I am so impressed that she did the bouquet herself – it’s beautiful!!July 10, 2008 – 4:28 am
