Melisa’s Belly Session!

I had to blog this session right away because it was so much fun! Pregnancy sessions are always a blast, and this was no exception. Melisa is an absolutely beautiful mom-to-be. I met her for the first time earlier this week to talk about her photos. When she asked me if it was okay if we did part of the session at a pumpkin patch, I knew our photography relationship was meant to be :) Melisa loves fall, and baby Chloe is due to arrive shortly after Thanksgiving, so it was perfect!

I never know what to expect with pregnant moms. I always ask to make sure they’re comfortable with having their photos posted on the blog and website. Melisa laughed when I asked her, and told me she had just dressed as a Hooter’s Girl for a friend’s Halloween party, so she wasn’t too self-conscious about showing off her pregnant bod. (And she shouldn’t be. She looks amazing!)

We stole Derrick away from his football game for a little while to get dad in on some of the photo action, too. Melisa and Derrick, thanks so much for letting me photograph you guys. I cannot wait to meet Chloe and help you document her new little life :)

So Friday was Mike’s 28th birthday! He is a few years older than I am, so I have been mercilessly teasing him about being old and reminding him that 30 will be here before he knows it :) Isn’t that what wives are for? Kayla – Senior Session

It’s hard for me to believe that Kayla is graduating this year. I’ve known her family for a long time, and I actually used to teach Kayla and her brother piano lessons when I was in high school. She’s a girl who is loads of fun and is always smiling! We did her senior session around downtown Eustis, and we found some great little spots for her photos. Here are a few of my favorites from the day, and also a fun little survey Kayla took!
