Amber & Craig: Engagement

I love life’s little surprises. I also love Facebook. Amber came across my website by chance, and I am so glad that she did! She saw my website on someone else’s Facebook page and clicked on it. We met and started talking about her wedding and what package she wanted. After some conversing, we figured out that her friend on Facebook was my cousin. (They were neighbors when we were kids) Then we figured out that we had played together a few times when we were younger and I had come over to my cousin’s house. What are the chances?
I am so happy to be photographing Amber & Craig’s wedding in March. It is going to be at the amazing Sandbar Restaurant on Anna Maria Island. Amber & Craig have such an easy, loving relationship. They have been dating since the 7th grade! Wow! I was so happy to just see them have a good time during our session. Genuine laughter and emotion take the images to a different level. And there is certainly no shortage of love between these two :)
Amber & Craig, I can’t wait to see you guys again at your gorgeous beach wedding! Let’s keep our fingers crossed for great weather….
Amber is going to be a gorgeous bride!

One of my favorites!

I love when a couple can laugh and just have fun together!

Jessica Rhoads - The pictures turned out very good. Best wishes to the lovely couple!July 2, 2009 – 1:28 am

Lauren Kelly - Too sweet Heidi!! :)February 4, 2009 – 11:34 am

Amanda & Jerry: Engagement

Amanda and Jerry are perhaps my bravest engaged couple to date. We did their session last week on what must have been the coldest day in a really long time. I think the temperature topped out at 53 that day. That might not have been so bad, but the wind! Oh my. Windiest day ever. So with the chilly temps and the wind, it felt like Michigan out there. (That may be a slight exaggeration on my part. ha ha)
Amanda and Jerry are having an outdoor ceremony this March at Venetian Gardens. Their reception will be at the beautiful historic Leesburg Opera House. Can’t wait to see you guys again on the big day!

These 2 black-and-whites are my favorites!

Meagan Sullivan - I love, love, love these engagement pics! Clint & I are dying to get some done, so we can send our save the dates. I really need to get with you!June 29, 2009 – 7:34 pm

Rhonda - Well, I can not wait to see those pics, you do such a wonderful job!January 30, 2009 – 3:16 pm

Lauren Kelly - GREAT pictures Heidi :) :)January 29, 2009 – 7:53 pm

Heidi Mitchell - Yes, it is a little dark in there. It’s pretty though. I’m used to photographing dark receptions. I think everyone’s dress gets dingy at the bottom sadly. Mine got gross and everything was inside!January 29, 2009 – 7:39 pm

Rhonda - I got married at the Opera House, it was absolutly beautiful. But the lighting wasn’t that great…very dark!! And the floor (wonderful wood floor) made the bottom of my white dress a dingy gray color…LOLJanuary 29, 2009 – 7:26 pm

Kylie & Miguel: Engagement

Yesterday I had the privilege of photographing this lovely couple, Kylie and Miguel. My job as a wedding photographer is to capture in a photograph the love and affection that a couple feels for each other. Some couples make my job easy, and this was one of them. As I asked them to interact with each other throughout the session, they didn’t just stare at each other blankly. They laughed, smiled, hugged, kissed, danced. You can definitely see in their eyes the way they feel about each other.
Kylie and Miguel’s wedding will be at the beautiful Harbor Hills Country Club in August. The terrace at Harbor Hills overlooks the golf course and Lake Griffin. The ceremonies there are to die for. Can’t wait :)
Thank you guys for choosing me as your wedding photographer and inviting me to share this incredible time with you. (And thanks for braving the wind yesterday. It was crazy!)

Sweet :)

I loved this tiled wall!

Kylie’s ring is gorgeous!

Kylie, I know it was hard for you to keep a straight face, but this photo was worth it! I love it!

Salsa time! lol

Zion: 10 months

This was my second time photographing Zion. Since the last time I saw him, he’s started sitting up all on his own, so we did plenty of pictures showing his new skill. He’s got some serious blue eyes, lucky boy! I’ll be heading back to see him again around his 1st birthday!

Rhonda - He is such a cute little chunky chunky!January 20, 2009 – 4:36 pm

Lauren Kelly - Heidi, doesn’t photographing all these adorable kids make you want some of your own :) :)January 16, 2009 – 4:34 am

David, Stephanie & Parker: Family

You may recognize these beautiful faces. This is my best friend, Stephanie, and her family. I went up to visit them in West Virginia right before Christmas, and I just realized that I never blogged any photos! So here goes. We just did some pictures for fun while I was there. Parker was approaching 17 months when we did these. Even though we live so far away, we’ve managed to see each other about 5 times since Parker was born, and needless to say, we always end up taking pictures :) Parker is definitely a favorite subject of mine. And in other exciting news, Stephanie is expecting their 2nd baby! Yay! I can’t wait to meet the new little one later this year.
We had a few days of pretty snow while I was there.

Definitely my favorite of the day! You have to love that sweet face :)
Unfortunately, I can’t take credit for that enormous smile. Mike was standing behind me, and apparently Parker thought he was funny.

He loves his mommy!

I had to include a silly one.

He’s ridiculously cute and funny! I miss him :(
I had to have Steph take one of me with my favorite little man.

Rhonda Smith - If she is prego, I would like to know where she is hiding the baby…LOL, these are so adorable.January 13, 2009 – 8:24 pm

Lauren Kelly - That family it too doggone cute!!!!!!January 13, 2009 – 1:40 pm
