Feature on Blush Blog: Weddings

Back in March, I photographed Stephanie and Gregg’s amazing wedding weekend in Celebration. Recently my images were featured on Brandee Garr’s blog, wedding coordinator from Blush by BBG.
Check out the post on her blog! It was great working with Brandee, and I’m hoping to see her around at another wedding soon :)

Kylie - Just wanted to tell you that I love when you post Features on other vendors! We hired Blush to do some day of coordinating! Can’t wait! Thanks Heidi!May 19, 2009 – 6:37 pm

Krisie: Bridal

I photographed Krisie and Kyle’s gorgeous wedding back in February. We met up again recently to do a post-wedding bridal session. We thought we were going to get rained out, but it finally quit. We had the streets of downtown Mount Dora all to ourselves thanks to the bad weather that had just ended :) Krisie and I had so much fun, because she wasn’t worried about the dress since the big day was over. We were able to do way more than on the wedding day!
Huge thanks to Larri Mattison from Synergy for doing an amazing job on Krisie’s hair and makeup!

LOVE the green barn.

Isn’t she gorgeous!!!

Alex & Aleigh: Kids

I recently spent the afternoon with these 2 little beauties in their lovely backyard. I was thrilled when I showed up and saw their adorable outfits. Their mom is an Etsy addict like so many of us! We had so much fun together. These 2 are absolute bundles of energy. They kept their mom and me on our toes, but we got some great shots!
As a note to my last post about AP Wedding Cinema, apparently there were some problems with the link this week. I don’t know what happened, but I fixed it! If you didn’t get a chance to see Chad’s website because of the link issues, go ahead and take a look!
Check out that fashion sense!

Girls are so dramatic. Love it. LOL.

The girls were totally into posing with their flowers they picked.

Had to post these for fun. I love their personalities showing :)

Ashley McCormick Photography - Adorable. I’m pretty sure these girls are more stylish than me :)April 27, 2009 – 6:15 am

Chad Ainsworth: Spotlight

So, I am obviously a wedding photographer. That means I’m supposed to tell you all that wedding photography is THE most important thing about your wedding. Well, I do think choosing your photographer is a huge decision, but today I’m going to give a little blog love to videography. Like I said, I’m supposed to be all about photography, but I would run into a burning building to save my wedding DVD. (Or maybe I would send Mike in after it and just cheer him on from a safe place) You get the point. I love my wedding DVD. We have watched it over and over again. I love the beauty of my wedding photos and the way I can hang them in our room or look through our gorgeous leather album. But our DVD has the sound of our voices when we said our vowels. It has my father-in-law doing the robot on the dance floor. It has my little brother running in front of Mike & I raising the roof as we’re being introduced at the reception. (He’s older and “cooler” now, so I’m pretty sure he regrets that little shenanigan today)
Meet Chad Ainsworth of AP Wedding Cinema. (Check out his website. There are sample videos there!) I was introduced to Chad through a mutual friend. He’s in his 2nd year of business as a wedding videographer. He’s in the process of completing his Communications degree with emphasis in Film Studies. I wanted to introduce you to him because I’m always puzzled as to why more people don’t book a videographer! His packages range from $450 to $2350, so it’s definitely affordable.
He shoots with professional HD equipment, so the quality is great. I have received so much support as I’ve built my business, so I wanted to share the love and help support another young, aspiring professional. When trying to follow the path of  a professional, consider using services like www.tracyalchayeb.com as most professionals do.
Here’s my interview with Chad:
The thing I love most about wedding videography is:

The joyful atmosphere and having the privilege of capturing the day on video!

The thing that makes me different from other videographers is:
I'm willing to work with whatever the couple wants. I will remain unobtrusive and still affectively capture the entire day in beautiful HD video. I offer a 35mm cinematic lens feature that will make your video not look like video, it will look like what you see in theaters... truly cinematic.

When I'm not working, you can find me:
Spending time with my beautiful fiance and occasionally playing video
games or working on screenplays for future film projects.

The album(s) I can't quit listening to right now:
It's a tie between Taylor Swift's new album and Nickelback's new album.

The 3 words that describe me as a videographer are:

Unobtrusive. Caring. Passionate.

The 3 words that describe me as a person are:

Determined. Joyful. Relaxed.

Chad with his love!

Thanks for the interview, Chad! I’m cheering you on as another 20-something pursuing a dream.

Heidi Mitchell - Don’t know what happened! I just tried it again, and it works now. Sorry :)April 26, 2009 – 12:02 am

Kylie - The link isn’t working! Definitely want to check him out for our upcoming wedding!April 25, 2009 – 2:22 am

Kimberly & Spence: Wedding

Spence’s best man takes all of the credit for their meeting. Classes had been cancelled due to a hurricane. (You know, Florida has Hurricane Days, not Snow Days) So Spence made the trip from UCF in Orlando to UF in Gainesville to visit his best friend and attend a Hurricane Party. He had no idea that this party would change his life. He met Kimberly there, and there was an instant attraction. They’ve been together ever since, and I was fortunate enough to photograph another chapter in their love story.
Kimberly and Spence are the kind of couple you just love to photograph. They both have sweet, kind personalities. I was sold on them from our first meeting, and I was looking forward to their wedding for a long time. I loved being able to document the love and happiness that flowed freely on this day. They were married at their home church in Titusville, and their reception was in Cocoa aboard the Indian River Queen. The boat was absolutely gorgeous, and made for a unique reception experience.
Kimberly and Spence, you two are an absolute joy to be around. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day.

Her “something borrowed”. A family heirloom.

The gorgeous bride.
Kimberly’s flowers were amazing. She was a brave bride, and became her florist’s 1st ever wedding! The risk paid off, because the flowers were fantastic. Kimberly was thrilled with them. The florist doesn’t have a website yet, but you can email me if you want her info.
The ladies and the gentlemen.

Kimberly & Spence put an offer in on a house, and found out it had been accepted the night before the wedding! Kimberly was signing the papers just minutes before the ceremony in her dress :)

Stunning.

The bridal party looked so bright & cheery in their spring colors.

I love the bright greens that spring brings. Best time of the year.

They were announced as they walked the dock towards the boat. It was such a fun entrance.

Kimberly is not only one of the most beautiful brides, but she’s also one of the sweetest I’ve met. Her bubbly personality is infectious, and she’s just the kind of girl you would love to have as a friend. Spence is subtly witty and hilarious. I really enjoyed these two!

My favorite. Hands down.

Boys being boys on the top deck of the boat.

And the grand exit!
