Amber & Craig: Wedding

“You have the best job in the world!” That’s a comment left on my Facebook status by one of my previous brides when I wrote that I was heading to Anna Maria Island for a wedding this weekend. I kind of have to agree with her. I spent Sunday afternoon with Amber & Craig at the fabulous Sandbar Restaurant on Anna Maria Island. When I met with Amber several months back to talk about her wedding, I practically squealed when she told me her wedding would be there. I love beach weddings, and  I love weddings where I travel to someplace new. It was perfect!
The sand on Anna Maria Island is soft and powdery, and the water is a brilliant aqua. The weather that day was absolutely perfect. Lots of sun and a slight breeze. Ahh. I’m wishing I was back there just writing about it. Amber and Craig have such a tender relationship. They’ve been dating since they were teenagers, and the maid-of-honor summed it up when she said that they’ve already made it work for longer than many marriages. When things started running behind schedule before the ceremony, Craig was out at the reception decorating tables. I got the sense that it wasn’t because he was super concerned with how the floral arrangements would look, but because he loves Amber and wants her to be happy.
Amber & Craig, thank you for letting me share this day with you. Your love is evident and inspiring. Thanks for helping me have the best job in the world. It doesn’t get any better than being barefoot on a gorgeous beach on the perfect spring day in Florida :)
I loved Amber’s bouquet.

The decor was pure and simple. Just what it should be for a beach wedding!

Craig is 1 of 3 boys in his family, and they have all served in the military. They looked great in their different uniforms.

A barefoot bride. Love it :)

Craig sure knows how to give a first kiss ;)

Love this!

And this…

And this, too!

You have to love the wedding pavilion here. Beautiful.

These next 2 of Amber & her dad dancing crack me up. It was a sweet & funny moment.

Amanda and Jerry: Wedding

This weekend I had the privilege of photographing Amanda and Jerry’s lovely wedding. When we photographed their engagement session at the beginning of the year, we had the coldest, windiest day. When their wedding day rolled around, it was so very windy again! Jerry said that every time I bring my camera near them, the weather gets crazy. LOL
The ceremony was at Venetian Gardens in Leesburg. I’ve seen ceremonies by the gazebo there, but Amanda and Jerry’s ceremony was closer to the lake in front of a huge, gorgeous oak tree. It was beautiful. The reception was at the fantastic Leesburg Opera House. The Opera House is a historic building with amazing brick walls and old wood floors. It feels like a NYC loft. Such a great place. I had a blast with Amanda and Jerry, and I’m so glad they chose me to document their wedding!

Michelle & Ben: Pregnancy

Ben and Michelle are going to welcome their first baby into the world any day now! We were cutting it close by doing these photos last week, but thankfully Elijah decided to hold off. Can’t wait to see him! I’ll be photographing him throughout his first year. Michelle’s mom purchased a year of photo sessions for part of Michelle & Ben’s shower gift. Way to go mom! See you guys again soon.
(Oh! Ben and Michelle own an amazing lighting company, Kaleidoscope. They light wedding receptions and events, and they are fantastic. Any of my upcoming brides should definitely check them out! Lighting can make all the difference in your photographs.)

Such a cute mommy!

Everyone knows how I feel about bright colored walls. This building was a fun find.

One of my favorites!

Comparing bellies. I love a couple that’s as goofy as I am :)

Stephanie & Gregg: Wedding

What can I even say about Stephanie, Gregg, and this wedding? They are two extremely kind and amazingly talented people. They deserve lots of love and happiness, and they have definitely found it in each other.
I was thrilled to spend the whole weekend with Stephanie, Gregg and their families. They had their closest friends and family come to the Ginn Reunion Resort in Celebration on Thursday evening. I started out photographing a welcome bbq that night. Then there were events planned for Friday during the day and the rehearsal dinner that night. (Hopefully I can post some pics from the Thursday & Friday events soon) The girls took a bus to Stephanie’s fabulous boutique, Stalhi in Orlando. She and Gregg started the business together 3 years ago, and it’s become very popular. The guys played golf together at one of the beautiful courses at the resort. I thought it was such a great idea to have the whole weekend to spend with their friends and family.
Stephanie and Gregg, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your gorgeous wedding! You and your families were so much fun, and I really enjoyed getting to know everyone. Congratulations again!
P.S. Brandee from Blush helped make this an amazing event! It was so great to work her!
Stephanie’s 1st pair of shoes

And here’s the 2nd pair. Love these!

The fabulous Simone from Makeover Station doing Stephanie’s makeup. (Simone did my hair/makeup for my wedding, too! She’s fantastic.)

The grandmas. I love that one of them is wearing the “Single & Fabulous” t-shirt from the bachelorette party :)

Stephanie’s amazing Monique Lhuillier gown. Stephanie went to the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandizing in LA, and so did Monique, so Stephanie just had to have one of her gowns!

Stephanie had her dress cut short, so she could wear it long for the ceremony and short for the reception. It was so cute both ways!

Stephanie & Gregg: Wedding: Sneak Peek to the Sneak Peek

So this is a sneak peek to a sneak peek. I couldn’t help myself. Stephanie and Gregg’s wedding this past Saturday was fantastic, and I just had to share! Here are just 3 things that let you know how amazing this wedding was:
1. These shoes. Enough said.

2. This scenery and gorgeous couple! Stephanie and Gregg looked amazing!
3. The couple dancing their first dance to Edwin McCain’s “I’ll Be”. Wait, did I mention that’s Edwin McCain himself in the background singing the song live? I think the prize for “best wedding gift/surprise ever” goes to Gregg on this one :)

Can’t wait to post more this week. I had such a nice time with Stephanie, Gregg and their families. More to come soon….
