I’ve been photographing Elijah since he was a bump in Michelle’s belly, and now it’s time for his one year session! I’m so happy we were able to capture his first year of life from newborn all the way to 12 months. It’s so fun to watch them grow!

You may remember my friend Emily’s maternity session that I posted a little while back. Well, little Ellie is here now! I use the term “little” loosely. Ellie has been hanging out somewhere near the 90th percentile for her size since she was born! I usually photograph babies within the first two weeks of being born and then again around 4 months, but since Emily lives in Alabama, we just did the session at the time they were visiting. So it’s not quite a newborn session, but here are a few photos of the beautiful Ellie around 1 month old.

First, I love Em’s boots. Fabulous. Second, the one of Ellie looking over her momma’s shoulder was beautiful. Great job, Heidi.April 12, 2010 – 12:50 am Amanda & Bryan are a very special couple. They’ve spent much of their relationship apart since they both are members of the military. In fact, they spent a couple of years on separate continents. They told me that they were Skyping when Skyping wasn’t even cool yet. Despite the distance, they maintained a beautiful relationship, and I was happy to photograph the biggest day of their lives last weekend. I’m jealous because they were spending the week in Italy for their honeymoon, and it made me want to go back so badly! It’s hard to believe it’s already been six months since I was there. I hope they have an amazing time celebrating their marriage in such a fantastic place.

Still wouldn’t have that any other way. And third…Thank you so much!April 12, 2010 – 12:48 pm Everybody say it together now. “Awwwwwwww!!!!” Meet little Isabella. She was only 2 weeks old at this session. I’ve been photographing her big brother since he was about 4 months old, and I was so thrilled to get to photograph her as a tiny newborn. She was actually awake for most of the time I was there, which is unheard of for a newborn session. I didn’t mind though, because we got some great photos with her eyes open, and she was a perfect angel anyways. Makes me even more excited about meeting my little guy in about 7 weeks! Although I’m pretty sure he won’t be sporting any fabulous pink hats & bows in his hair.

The festivities took place at Aimee’s aunt’s house in their lovely backyard by the water. It was a gorgeous spring day, and everything was just perfect. Aimee & Mike are such a sweet and fun couple. I really enjoyed getting to know them during the engagement session and wedding. Congrats, Aimee & Mike! Thanks so much for inviting me to be a part of your beautiful wedding.
