{Lacie} Mount Dora Newborn Photography

So happy to be featuring one of my “regular” families on the blog today. They’ve kept me busy the past two years with this beautiful family of theirs! I photographed Michelle when she was pregnant with Eli, then Eli’s first year, then Michelle’s maternity session with Lacie, and now baby Lacie’s newborn session! She is absolutely adorable. Gotta get my girl-fix in on these sweet babies I photograph since my life is filled with boys! Can’t wait to photograph this beauty throughout her first year :)

LOVE. The little fabric “baby bowl” she’s in was made by Jenni from Hooked on Adorable. She has all kinds of cute things in her Etsy shop!

Nothing like a little baby booty. Heehee.

That sweet headband is from Nature Tasty on Etsy. Lots of cute headbands!

Favorite :)

Annette Frerking - As always you again exceeded our expectations. They are wonderful. Heidi you are the best.March 15, 2011 – 2:15 am

{Madalynn} Mount Dora Newborn Photography

Madalynn is a very special baby girl, because she belongs to my husband’s beautiful cousin, Rebekah! We didn’t get to do a newborn session, because this poor little thing had to stay in the NICU for quite a while after being born. Thankfully, she’s home with her mommy & daddy now, and she’s doing wonderfully. Photographing a baby at one month old is not at all like photographing a sleepy newborn, but we made it work!

Isn’t she so beautiful??? So happy we have this new little family member :)

Caimbrin - ahhhhh!!! So cute! What a beauty queenMarch 4, 2011 – 3:01 pm

{valentine’s day giveaway winner}

I’m so, so happy to reveal the winners of the big giveaway that I announced back on Valentine’s Day! I was so honored & excited to look through all of the entries. Everyone did a great job, but there can only be one winning couple.

So the winners are Amber & Michael from Ocala! I loved their creative color & editing. I loved how their background is blurred & looks almost like a painting. I also loved the soft and slightly desaturated colors. This imaged appealed to me as an artist. So cute. I had a little help choosing the winners. I had another photographer & then also a non-wedding pro take a look & tell me their picks. (I made each of them email me their pick for the winner separately & I gave no input so as not to sway their decisions) Amazingly, we all three chose the same image.

Amber & Michael, you are the lucky winners of the stationary, lighting & photo packages. I’m looking forward to working with you on your wedding soon!

I want to say a big THANK YOU to Kaleidoscope Event Lighting & to Leslie Vega Design for participating. They are both fantastic wedding pros. I recommend them to anyone and everyone.

And here’s the winning image :)

P.S. I’ll be out of the office from March 2nd until March 9th. I’ll try to return emails if I can, but it may take longer than normal while I’m out of town :)

susan shirey - I hadn’t seen this picture before. It is so pretty. Amber is my granddaughter and Michael is soon to be my grandson.Oh,I’m the grandmother to Amber and so proud.March 3, 2011 – 2:21 am

{Shelby & Aaron} Music Themed Brooksville Engagement Photography

I heart this engagement session. Shelby & Aaron are not only adorable, but they’re creative. Oh, and they’re also obviously head over heels for each other, which always makes for the best photos.

They met when they were in college together. Aaron played the drums for one of the university’s traveling groups. Shelby just so happened to be the merchandise girl for the band. They spent the whole summer together traveling all over the country with this group getting to know each other, and eventually, falling in love.

Since music is really what brought them together, they wanted to do a music themed session. I love, love, love whenever couples get creative & help me make the session really reflect their interests & personalities. They said that they had seen plenty of engagement sessions where the guy brought along his guitar and thought that was cute. The only problem is that Aaron doesn’t play guitar. He plays the drums. So we brought his drums to the field. Pretty fun, right?

Enough with the talking. Here are the photos :)

Shelby might just be the most adorable person ever. I loved her dress & shoes.

And just for fun, they brought along this adorable vintage typewriter they found at Goodwill for $5. So cute. Apparently, it was an early version of a laptop, because it came in a suitcase. I’d never seen one like that before!

If you’ve ever seen the movie “V for Vendetta”, then you get the 5th of November thing. It’s one of their favorite movies, and the 5th of November just so happens to be their wedding date :)

They made this sign with the lyrics from the Hellogoodbye song that they’ll share their first dance to!

Lauren Kelly - Absolutely amazing, Heidi!!!!!!!! They are adorable and you captured them so well. Your talent at its finest!!!March 1, 2011 – 2:51 pm

{Tiffany & Mason} Crystal River Engagement Photography

I met Tiffany & Mason last week in Tiffany’s adorable hometown of Crystal River. Her dad owns a boat yard where they catch shrimp & crabs & other seafood, so we started out there before heading to the beach. The crab cages actually made for a cute backdrop and they even got on one of the boats. The weather & lighting at the beach were perfection and made for some beautiful engagement photos :)
