Free to Succeed!

On Thursday night I went to the Free to Succeed tour in Orlando with some photographer friends. Free to Succeed is hosted by the amazing David Jay. If you’ve never seen his wedding work, you have to check him out. He’s right up there at the top of my “photographers that i idolize” list! (Along with Jasmine Star, of course!) It was such an informative conference that is definitely going to help me become a better photographer and a better businesswoman. I’m so thankful for people who are willing to share their stories of success as an inspiration and a model for those of us who are still working on building our businesses.
Here are the girls!
(L to R: Jordan Smith of Green Flamingo Photo, Rebekah Hood of Kallima Photography, me!, Amy Starks of Starks Photography, and Ashley McCormick of Ashley McCormick Photography)
A huge “thank you” to amy for standing next to me in this photo and making me feel a little better about being so short!

(Notice that the photo above is not in focus. It’s funny that in a room full of photographers, you ask someone to take a picture for you, and it comes back out of focus. I had to laugh!)

The man himself, Mr David Jay! He was so funny, so smart, and very humble! (which is a quality not often found in famous photographers!)

Such a great night! I’m glad I got to experience it, and hang out with some great girls in the process :)
